Masterpiece Water Filters What is the objective of water filters - to remove unwanted wastes, contaminants, bacteria, viruses, fungi, chemicals etc. from your water supply. The Masterpiece comes with the choice of two types of filters, both of which are excellent filters. The standard filter has been used for years by ourselves, but as with all 'things' you are now given a choice of your filtration with your Masterpiece Ioniser. Both of the filters Regular and Biostone, have the same filtration capability 0.1M(micrometers), as you will see below how effective this can be and why it is so important to change your filter when it is indicated.

The Regular / Original Masterpiece Filter
Filters:
The activated carbon fiber high performance filter cleans the water.
It removes harmful components in water such as chlorine, trihalomethanes,
phenols, sediment, odour, organic waste, and bacteria etc. as described
above with the
addition of impregnated silver.
Silver is impregnated into the carbon to make sure that bacteria do not grow there. Because it is impregnated into the carbon, the silver does not leach into the water. Tests done by the Seoul Department of Health show that no silver is released from these filters.
On the top there is a facility for adding 'extra minerals' to your water, such Magnesium or Coral Calcium, any other minerals that you feel may be of help with your health.
The New Biostone Masterpiece Filter

Filters: The activated carbon fiber high performance filter cleans the water. It removes harmful components in water such as chlorine, trihalomethanes, phenols, sediment, odour, organic waste, and bacteria etc. as described above with the addition of impregnated silver.
Silver is impregnated into the carbon to make sure that bacteria do not grow there. Because it is impregnated into the carbon, the silver does not leach into the water. Tests done by the Seoul Department of Health show that no silver is released from these filters.
The Biostone has added Coral Calcium and Magnesium and Ceramic Tourmaline.
Tourmaline naturally supplies FIR (Far Infra Red) energy to the water.
It is a semi-precious mineral / stone that has been found to reduce the surface tension of the water before ionisation therefore adding negative ions before the ionisation process, it also makes the water taste slightly sweeter.
Tourmaline is also known to be helpful for improving circulation, relieving stress, increasing mental alertness and strengthening the immune system function (Niwa Institute for Immunology, Japan. Int J. Biometeorol 1993 Sep; 37(3) 133-8).
It also has anti-bacterial and deodorant qualities, that can be utilised by the skin.
In Japan even though
tourmaline was broken down in smaller pieces, a positive and a negative
electrode existed on both ends of the crystal, and the electrodes never
disappeared unless tourmaline was boiled near 1000°C.
In addition, when the positive and the negative electrodes of a tourmaline
crystal were connected to each other, it was proven to show low electricity of
0.06mA.
Please Note : that if you are ordering a Masterpiece unit and require the more expensive Biostone filter, then the overall cost of the unit will be increased with the more expensive Biostone filter if chosen.
