Water Gem Water Filtration Kit If you do nothing else with your water supply you should at least have a basic filtration system for your drinking water. The Water Gem kit is an ideal way of accomplishing chlorine free drinking water. It is also an ideal way of connecting your Masterpiece Ioniser to the mains water supply in the UK because of all the different types of water taps available. This also negates a tap converter 'hanging' down into your sink as well as providing an initial filtration system and protection for your investment.
These can be fitted relatively easily by any competent DIY enthusiast in 1/2 to 3/4 of an hour.
The Water Gem comes complete with absolutely everything you need for simple DIY fitting, including clear step-by-step instructions. There is no need to cut off the water supply or to cut any pipes.
The Water Gem can be fitted into all kitchen units and the tap can be installed on either surface-mounted or countersunk sink units. The filter cartridge is easily replaced with simple push-in connectors. Please make sure when fitting the filter brackets that the filter will be in a vertical position as in the photo. Occasionally one common fault that we have come across with people fitting the Water Gem is that when they have punctured the cold water pipe with the screw in plunger but they do not unscrew it back out, so have a slow / restricted water supply to the sink faucet. Please make sure that you have unscrewed the plunger back out to get the maximum benefit and water pressure from your Water Gem unit.
